Kanye West dropped a new video for "Wolves" featuring Sia and Vic Mensa from his latest album, Life of Pablo today, and in true 'Ye fashion, it attempts to make a statement.

Much like the song, the video offers 'Ye's view of what it's like to be in the spotlight, preyed upon by "wolves"—be they industry insiders, critics or the media.

The seven-minute video is directed by Steven Klein and aside from 'Ye's personal feelings, also serves as a really pretty Balmain commercial—Balmain designer/creative director Olivier Rousteing also acts as creative director for the video. It was also recently announced that Yeezy will star in Balmain's fall campaign.  Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian, Vic Mensa, Sia, Kylie Jenner and a slew of high-profile fashion models make appearances in the black-and-white piece. Kim and Ye also are wearing the same outfits they were to the MET Gala this year.

O course, it's Kanye, so the video gets pretty dramatic. However, despite the video's best attempts at evoking emotion— including clips of tears streaming down Kanye and Kim's faces as they stare directly into the camera— it still feels a bit... empty. Basically, "Wolves" is stylish but not quite as powerful as it's obviously trying to be.

This is the second video 'Ye has released from Life of Pablo, the first being the controversial, "Famous" which has produced a feud with Taylor Swift that just won't go away.
