Kanye West Denies Illuminati Rumors

Kanye West is the latest rapper to address rumors regarding his alleged secret society membership.

Kanye's former mentor Jay-Z was previously the subject of similar rumors, having been identified as both a Freemason and member of the Illuminati by numerous conspiracy theorists. While Jay chose to poke fun at his cult-like status with West in his 'Run This Town' music video, and respond to the rumors on wax with his verse on Rick Ross's 'Free Mason,' Kanye opted to respond to his accusations via his social network, making light of his supposed allegiance to the dark side on Twitter.

"Is illuminati and devil worshipping like the same thing," Kanye tweeted. "Do they have a social network that celebs can sign up for?" Kanye went on to ponder Satan's choice of headphones, and whether his minions use iPhones to conduct their worship. "Question ... can you devil worship on the new iphone??? LOL!!!" he wrote. "Do you think Lucifer uses in ear monitors or signature Beats by Dre headphones???"

Kanye and Jay are currently recording a collaboration album together, entitled 'Watch the Throne.' No, "the Throne" is not a reference to the Dark Lord.
