If there was any doubt about Kanye West’s and JAY-Z’s relationship coming to an end, this latest bit of news is all the confirmation you need.

According to a report from Billboard, on Thursday (July 6) a source close to The Life of Pablo rapper has confirmed that Tidal’s exclusivity rights for the rapper’s music has been terminated due to what they believe is a failure to honor financial obligations. So, unless something changes in the future, expect Kanye’s next project to be a non-Tidal exclusive.

The report comes after TMZ claimed Kanye was owed “more than $3 million” by Tidal, saying the $3 million was supposed to be a bonus for The Life of Pablo and music video production costs reimbursements.

While Kanye himself has yet to comment on the situation, JAY-Z did make a reference to him on the song “Kill Jay Z,” rapping, “But you got hurt because you did cool by Ye / You game 20 million without blinkin’ / He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f--- was he thinkin’?”
