Kanye West Claims to Be ‘Smartest Celebrity,’ Reveals Father’s Occupation During Deposition

When Kanye West had to share his side of the story regarding the assault of photographer Daniel Ramos at Los Angeles International Airport in 2013 this week, he revealed a surprising truth and made some bold claims during a deposition.

TMZ reports that the rapper opened up about his dad's occupation during the testimony. "My father was a paparazzo himself," Kanye told Ramos' lawyer.

West also mentioned that he wasn't raised to "be out here wrestling with random paparazzi in front of LAX."

In July 2013, the G.O.O.D. Music leader was seen not only taking Ramos' camera equipment away from him but also lunging at the paparazzi photographer. After the incident, Ramos' lawyer claims that he sustained injuries including one to his hip. West initially pleaded not guilty but then changed his plea to no contest to misdemeanor battery. This then led to a civil suit, and now the rhymer is in the middle of a deposition hearing.

While it seems that he was cool and collected during the deposition, West's mouth got the best of him (again) and he accused Ramos of asking him "dumb s---." He then listed all the odd jobs his father did in addition to being a celebrity photographer and eventually called himself "the smartest celebrity you've ever f---ing dealt with."

We can only imagine how he looked to everyone in the room after making that comment.
