Kamasi Washington Announces New EP, Shares Gorgeous New Short Film [WATCH]

Good news for Kamasi Washington fans.

The saxophonist is releasing a new EP, and he just shared a short film called Truth, which is part of a larger collaborative project titled Harmony Of Difference.

In the short, directed by A.G. Rojas, you'll hear Kamasi's lush music over shots of people doing various things. Like in one scene, a family gathers inside a home for a special event. In another two men wrestle in a bed of pink flowers.

Later on there's a beautiful shot of a river moving gently between two hills, and that scene bleeds into someone attending a funeral.

As far as the EP, it's called Harmony Of Difference, and in a statement Kamasi talked about the significance of the title.

"My hope is that witnessing the beautiful harmony created by merging different musical melodies will help people realize the beauty in our own differences," he said.
