K. Michelle released a statement Friday (Sept. 26) after court documents detailing abuse from her ex-boyfriend Mickey “Memphitz” Wright became public.

The singer made some surprising admissions during a deposition regarding a lawsuit Memphitz has against Viacom Intenational, Mona Scott Young’s Monami Entertainment and NFGTV, Inc. The 'V.S.O.P.' songstress spoke about the alleged abuse during her time on 'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.'

According to court documents obtained by Bossip, K. Michelle admitted that Memphitz, a record executive, didn't punch her and give her a black eye. She originally implied on multiple occasions that Memphitz did put his hands on her. Although there was no punch directed at K. Michelle by Memphitz, she claimed he threw a water bottle at her and she had carpet burns from crawling in addition to bruises and cuts.

"He didn't punch me but he did hit me. If that is a punch, with a water bottle, this is what it was. However you define your punch, you might define it like this," she said during the deposition. "He did that."

In Memphitz's deposition questioning, he states he never punched K. Michelle, but did wrestle her to the ground and quieted her with a towel to make sure she didn't cry for help.

Memphitz is suing for money to pay his attorney’s fees and cost of litigation for his troubles.

The 'Rebellious Soul' creator made a statement in the wake of the documents being released.

"Domestic abuse isn’t just defined by whether a person strikes you with an open hand or a closed hand or whether a person kicks you or spits on you, abuse is abuse and there should be zero tolerance," K. Michelle said in a statement.

She also took to Instagram to share more of her words on the abuse. Read her entire post below.

I'm a lot of things but a liar I'm not. For over five years I've been told to be quiet about my life of abuse. And I refused and still refuse to be silenced. I was not punched in the isolated assault and never claimed to be. But what I was, was drug across the room and smothered with a towel, loosing conscience to the point of a black out. And having to fight my way out the room screaming for help. I almost lost my life.NO FORM of violence is acceptable, especially if I wasn't hitting or being the aggressor. I have NEVER lied about this. This is another attempt to silence me and another form of abuse. An attempt to gain media attention for the other party who is seeking money (because they have no form of income), and fame. The REAL and OFFICIAL Court documents are on Karen Civil. The truth is clearly stated in these documents. I will not give them what they want, which is time, energy and ATTENTION. No woman should ever go through this. The Truth is in the papers. I won't act as a victim, but a survivor!!!!
