Justin Bieber Wants Jay-Z on His Next Album

Besides driving teenage girls crazy, Justin Bieber also has a few fans in the hip-hop world. The 17-year-old collaborated with Kanye West and Raekwon for the ‘Runaway Love‘ remix and is hoping to raise the stakes for his next album.

“I would love to work with Jay-Z,” Bieber told the BoomBox. “Just a cool fun record.”

Coming off of an amazing couple of years that provided him hit records and a hit movie, Bieber, who took home a total of six awards at the Sunday (May 22) night Billboard Music Awards, remains humbled by his accolades. “I’m amazed to get any awards, but I really like the [Top] New Artist [award]. It’s great to be acknowledged anywhere, but just to have that respect, it feels good.”

As for that future Jay-Z and Bieber collaboration, that might not happen for a while considering the ‘Blueprint 3′ singer has been hard at work on a joint-album with West. Titled ‘Watch the Throne,’ the two rappers are reportedly finishing up the effort, so Bieber might have to wait a little before Jay-Z can pencil him into his schedule.

This year’s Billboard Music Awards featured performances from the Black Eyed Peas, Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna, the latter two who both performed with Britney Spears. The night’s big winners included Usher and Rihanna who each took home three awards, and Beyonce who received the Millennium Award.
