Just Blaze Releases New ‘Wig Splitters’ Mix, Teases ‘Higher’ Video With Baauer

Just Blaze, Facebook

In addition to producing music for video games these days, Just Blaze is keeping busy by further diving into the EDM scene with live shows and speaker-crushing mixes. Today, we get a dose of the latter along with a preview of his upcoming ‘Higher’ video with Baauer.

At first, ‘Wig Splitters’ sounds like it’s about to be a head-first dive into the producer’s past work, as he lets Jay Z‘s “Public Service Announcement” serve as the intro. It then gets flipped on its head and transformed into an all-out wobbly banger. The ‘PSA’ remix sets the tone for 90 minutes worth of huge synthesizers and as much bass as your system can handle. Listen to that below.

That’s not all we’re getting from Justin Smith this morning. He also offered a teaser of the video for ‘Higher,’ a Jay Z-sampling collaboration with ‘Harlem Shake’ producer Baauer. The video, which will arrive Aug. 13, is directed by Nabil Elderkin. You might know him for his work with Kanye West (the ‘Glow In The Dark’ CD) and Frank Ocean (‘Pyramids’).

You can peep the video teaser below.
