U.K. singer Jorja Smith is among the finalists for this year’s BRITs Critics’ Choice Awards.

The rising star was chosen out of 100 artists by a panel of music critics and producers. Smith will be competing with singer-songwriter Mabel and dancehall sensation Stefflon Don in the category as well.

Previous winners include Sam Smith in 2014, James Bay in 2015, Jack Garratt in 2016 and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man in 2017. This is the first year that the BRITs Critics’ Choice Awards are all female nominees.

Smith is having a great year so far. The 20-year-old singer appeared on Drake's More Life album and has collaborated with Kali Uchis and performed at Tyler, The Creator‘s Camp Flog Gnaw festival last month.

"It's an honor to be recognized amongst such incredible emerging talent. 2017 was a very special year and there's so much more to come from me in 2018!" said Smith in a statement.

This 2018 BRT Awards will take place at the O2 Arena in London on Feb. 21, with the trophies designed by Sir Anish Kapoor.
