Jordan Spizike (Original Colorway) — Sneaker of the Week
Spike Lee’s impact on pop culture is unquestionable when it comes to film but who’d have thought he’d rock the sneaker game as well? Nike, that’s who. This weekend sees the return of the Jordan Spizike OG and it is a shoe in for our Sneaker of the Week.
It’s not like we haven’t seen the silhouette in a while as it’s made its rounds pretty consistently for a while but to see it return in its original state complete with 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks branding and that defiant red, black and green tinged upper is pretty nice. If you didn’t know the shoe combines combines elements of the Jordan III, IV, V, VI and XX. We can easily imagine Mookie’s pigeon-toed strut casually carrying one of Sal’s pies across the street in these.
The Jordan Spizike OG is set to release on Nike.com Aug. 9 for $175 a pop. Follow @nikestore on twitter for countdown details and try to stay on top of this release because it will definitely sell out.
