John Robinson & PVD Offer Taste of What’s Next with ‘Know My Style’

John Robinson, perhaps best known for his as part of the duo Scienz of Life, teamed up with drummer and composer PVD for his next album titled 'Modern Vintage'. As the newly formed duo prepares to unveil their final product to the world next month, the two give listeners their first glimpse at what to expect with the single 'Know My Style'.

PVD's background is an obvious bonus as his drums come to life on this vibrant production. “I took a much more structured songwriting approach to the lyrics on this album," says Robinson. "My goal from the beginning of making this record was to take advantage of the fact that I am working with PVD- a composer/musician and not just a beat maker/producer, which definitely makes this record different from my other releases.

Robinson raps, "We from the system / compositions stomp the rhythm / Rakim, Eric Beastie, how we hit 'em / fashionable, my dialect is designer / name brand jams, monsters of the jamba / wantcha, who next flex / tight face at the right pace, you got the best text."

John Robinson & PVD's collaborativelabum 'Modern Vintage' will drop worldwide on June 17th via Brick Records.
