John Legend Gets Creative on New Song ‘My Imagination’

Whenever you're in need of a soothing R&B selection, John Legend always delivers. The accomplished crooner pops up with his latest offering, "My Imagination," a dreamy ballad in the mold of his previous releases.

Legend describes how blissful living inside of your mind can be and the wonders of tapping into your creativity. Lyrics like "Hide in my imagination, safe inside, my contemplation / Never out of time, somewhere in my mind / There's a place that I'll be landing / Far away from where I've been standing / Day by day creating in my imagination," speak to the creative in all of us and brings to mind a place where expression is equivalent to oxygen.

"My Imagination" will be featured on the accompanying soundtrack to the Broadway musical, Finding Neverland, which is based on the Academy Award-winning film of the same name. The soundtrack will also feature other A-List talent such as Jennifer Lopez, Nick Jonas, Trey Songz and Rita Ora, among others.

John Legend has enjoyed a heck of a 2015 already and we're not even at the halfway mark of the year yet. Winning an Oscar for his participation in the Selma soundtrack cut, "Glory," as well as recently picking up hardware for Top Radio Song at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, Legend has continued to solidify himself as one of the greatest talents in the game today.

After performing at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado on June 18, the "All of Me" singer will travel overseas for stops in Ireland, the U.K., Italy, and Switzerland to hit the stage.
