John Forte is rustling up some goodwill this week with the release of an iTunes-only EP. The three-song record is entitled 'The Bloomingdale's Acoustics' and all proceeds will go directly to breast cancer research. The EP was culled from a performance earlier this week on October 19 at the store's seemingly lavish Pink Party for charity.

The whole goal of the party, which was filled with pink cocktails and appetizers, was to bring awareness and raise money for research in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Forte is going the extra mile by doing a quick turnaround and releasing the performance to the public for donations. The MC, producer and singer has actually been a strong supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness Month since it kicked off on October 1. He's been routinely posting "virtual breast cancer support ribbons" on Twitter and is now encouraging his fans to plunk down $3 for the new EP.

The former Fugees producer also recently finished up his first new retail album, entitled 'Water Light Sound,' since being pardoned by former President George W. Bush in 2008 from a 14-year prison sentence on charges related to a drug arrest in 2000, where Forte was found guilty for carrying $1.4 million in cocaine. 'Water Light Sound' is scheduled for release in early 2011.
