Joe Jackson, father of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, is heading to the French Riviera to be honored for the Jackson Family Foundation. The exclusive celebrity event is to take place Saturday, May 22, during the Cannes International Film Festival.

Jackson's trip will be highlighted by the unveiling of the latest foundation plans which include the opening of the Jackson Family Museum, the Michael Jackson Performing Arts & Culture Center and the Jackson Family Center. Although no information as to when the centers will be opened has been announced, they will all take place in the family's hometown of Gary, Indiana. Going forward the foundation's goal is to expand the centers to a global level.

The organization was founded by Jackson and his wife Katherine to support social educational projects and continuing Michael's philanthropic work. Additionally the Jackson Family Foundation works to encourage unity between cultures. Michael passed away in June of last year after suffering a cardiac arrest.

In other related news, Michael Jackson's kids have been all the buzz on the Internet lately after a hacker posted home videos, mostly of 8-year-old Blanket and 12-year-old Paris, online. According to sister site PopEater.com, fans are to blame for hacking into the children's accounts online and posting the personal videos.
