The drama between hip-hop veteran Joe Budden and newcomer Lil Yachty may have seemed to be over, but after Budden’s latest comments on Complex’s Everyday Struggle show, the feud may have been reignited.

During an episode which featured Joey Bada$$, the two along with DJ Akademiks began discussing the stardom of rapper Playboy Carti. This led to Lil Yachty’s name being brought up which in turn led to Joey Bada$$ defending Yachty’s stardom, saying his appearances in commercials makes him a star.

Budden, who has had his issues with Lil Boat in the past, disagreed and argued that Yachty’s lackluster album sales stop him from being a star. “You’re not a megastar when you sell 40,000 records,” said Budden, referencing the sales of the rapper’s debut album, Teenage Emotions.

Never one to stay quiet, Lil Yachty fired back on Instagram, mocking the sales of Budden’s 2016 album Rage & The Machine. “Lol don’t talk to me about album sales sir @joebudden,” he wrote on Instagram.

Quality Control Music CEO, Pierre “Pee” Thomas, also joined the beef, calling out Joe Budden while praising how much money Yachty has made. “Lil Yachty Made 13 Million Dollars In 16 Months,” he wrote. “Who Give A F--- Bout You N------ Opinion? I’m Convinced Now Hating In You N----- Blood. Let’s Have A Contract And Bank Statement Challenge. That’s All We Care About Over Here.”
