'Guv'nor' is the latest JJ DOOM track to get the remix treatment, though this one is a bit more gripping than its predecessors for one huge reason: It's essentially an entirely new song. And it's a chilling one at that.

Rather than simply provide his a cappella from the original version of the 'Guv'nor,' the masked villain went one step further and recorded all new vocals for this track. With good reason, because Toronto jazz/producer trio BADBADNOTGOOD really went in on the instrumental.

The beat is equally brooding and massive, like a slow-moving beast in the woods or, perhaps, one of DOOM's other aliases in King Geedorah. It also makes you wonder if we'll get the chance to hear him over more music from BBNG, who recently signed with Los Angeles indie label Innovative Leisure. They also have production credits on Earl Sweatshirt's new album, 'Doris.'

You can hear the remix below via Noisey. It will appear on JJ DOOM's 'Key to the Kuffs: Butter Version,' which drops Aug. 20.
