What a week for ‘Tonight Show’ host Jimmy Fallon. During his inaugural week, he successfully made funny parodies out of songs from R. Kelly and the Sugarhill Gang, respectively. On Friday (Feb. 21), Jimmy teamed up with Justin Timberlake to perform a fun rendition of the ‘History of Rap.’

This is the fifth go-around for the dynamic duo, in which they perform a selection of classic rap tracks from the ’80s, ’90s and current times as well.

Backed by the house band the Roots, Fallon and his partner-in-rhyme, JT, rapped hits from Run-DMC (‘Beats to the Rhyme’), Tone Loc (‘Wild Thing’), Notorious B.I.G. (‘Big Poppa’), Warren G (‘Regulate’), Kris Kross (‘Jump’), Skee-Lo (‘I Wish’), Jay Z (’99 Problems’), Drake (‘Started From the Bottom’), Kendrick Lamar (‘Swimming Pools’), Kanye West (‘Good Life’) and many others.

In addition to their rap session, Timberlake returned at the end of the show to perform ‘Not a Bad Thing’ with his band JT & the Tennessee Kids.
