The funeral for the late music mogul Jerry Heller was held at Eden Memorial Park in Los Angeles on Wednesday (Sept. 7). Ironically, the service took place on what would have been Eazy-E’s 52nd birthday. Both Heller and Eazy founded the influential rap label Ruthless Records.

As expected, none of the surviving members of N.W.A showed up to the funeral despite Jerry’s nephew, Terry, offering an open invitation to the group.

However, Daz Dillinger was in the building. Although he didn’t go inside the funeral home, he did offer his on-the-ground reporting from the scene via his Instagram page.

From what we can gathered, Eazy-E’s widow, Tomica Woods-Wright, his son, Eric Wright, Jr., and his daughter, E.B. Wright, were in attendance. Also paying his respects was radio legend Greg Mack, who broke N.W.A on Los Angeles’ 1580 KDAY-AM, which was the first radio station in the U.S. to play rap music 24 hours a day.

TMZ also posted several photos from the funeral.

As we previously reported, Jerry Heller died from a heart attack following a car accident on Sept. 2. He was 75 years old. The music mogul leaves behind his cousin Gary Ballen, Kenneth Heller, Jerry’s younger brother and father of Jerry’s nephew, Terry Heller, who is a restaurateur and real estate investor.
