R&B crooner Jeremih performed at a nightclub in South Padre Island, Texas Wednesday (March 14) for some spring break festivities, however, he wasn't received with a warm welcome by party-goers. Rather than sing through his 50 Cent-assisted hit 'Down on Me,' the 23-year-old entertainer chose to lip-sync, which angered fans.

TMZ reports that Jeremih took the stage at Clayton's Bar and Grill on South Padre Island and was pelted with drinks when fans realized he decided to let the track sing for him. The crowd was already agitated after waiting two hours for the tardy singer to make his appearance.

In the video below, the Chicago native takes the stage, moving through his set for barely a few minutes when loud booing is heard, offensive hand gestures are thrown up and liquid is splashed all over Jeremih after an audience member hits him with a drink.

'Down on Me' appears on Jeremih's sophomore album, 'All About You,' released in 2010.
