Jennifer Lopez must have felt like a queen at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (May 18). Not only did she perform with Pitbull and Claudia Leitte on the song 'We Are One' at the beginning of the BBMA telecast, she also performed her latest single 'First Love,' which closed the awards ceremony. On top of that, she was honored with the Billboard Icon Award for her achievements in music and film.

Before J.Lo performed, a clip was shown of celebrities, including Rihanna and Taylor Swift, congratulating the R&B/pop singer and thanking her for "breaking down barriers and inspiring girls."

And once the tribute concluded, the Bronx, N.Y., native took the stage in a sparkly golden dress, that matched her skin, which was just as golden. She then ripped the dress off, only to reveal a black sequenced one piece jumpsuit, which showed just how fit she still is.

Dancing, gyrating, and moving effortlessly around the stage, the 44-year-old entertainer belted out the tune while maintaining breath control, looking like the seasoned veteran that she is. But despite being in the game for quite some time, she still exuded a youthful passion while performing, not to mention she could pass for a woman in her mid-20s.

After the performance, Jenny from the block accepted her award from Ricky Martin and Iggy Azalea, and she thanked as many people she could while fighting back tears.

"Music has always been my first love," she said. "I thank God, and my fans, and my friends, and my family that I've been able to do this over the years with 10 albums."

She also thanked her twins, Emme and Maximilian, and addressed those aspiring artists that may have been watching the show.

"Dream big. Think big, and anything is possible," she advised. "You never know where you might end up."

J.Lo is the first women to receive the prestigious BBMA honor. Past Icon Award honorees include Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder and Prince. Congrats to Jennifer Lopez on receiving the award and having such an influential career.
