Jennifer Hudson to Perform at Obama’s Inauguration?

Singer/actress Jennifer Hudson is among the musicians requested to perform at President-elect Barack Obama's Inauguration on Jan. 20. According to reports, organizers would like the Academy Award winner to sing the national anthem, which she sang at the Democratic National Convention last August.

"They are talking to Jennifer about it. It would be the first time she performed since the murders. She is from Chicago and a huge Obama supporter," a source told the New York Post.

Hudson has neither publicly accepted nor declined the offer. Following the murder of her mother, brother and nephew, Hudson has remained in seclusion but will sing at the Recording Academy's MusiCares Person of the Year Gala. The event will be held during Grammy week in February. Hudson received four Grammy nominations for her self-titled first album, which was released last September.

The 51st annual Grammy awards will air Feb. 8th and will be held at Los Angeles' Staple Center.
