Tears spilled from Jennifer Hudson's eyes on Wednesday afternoon (Nov. 14) as she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The momentous occasion was an emotional experience for the Oscar winner, who was elated her husband David Otunga, their 4-year-old son David Daniel Otunga, Jr., and her sister Julia were in attendance to witness her being honored.

"This is an amazing honor as we all know and I did not see it coming," the 32-year-old revealed. "I'm so honored to be here with so many that I love. And I feel as though we're all a family, so even all of you guys... It's one thing to be in this type of position but it doesn't mean anything if you can't make a difference in the world or help someone. And I always say that.

"Every time we go out we make sure we treat everyone like family. So with that being said, I'm so honored that all my family is here with me today."

In addition to her family, mentor Clive Davis, songwriter Diane Warren, Raphael Saadiq and Jacob Latimore -- her co-star in the new film, 'Black Nativity' -- were there to support their superstar peer.

“I knew I would get emotional, and I’m sure my mom is in heaven like, ‘Jenny, stop crying,’ but now is the time to cry mama,” Hudson shared, fighting back tears.

J-Hud joins singers Jennifer Lopez, Boyz II Men, will.i.am and Chaka Kahn, among others, on the Walk of Fame. Besides this accomplishment, the songstress is prepping the release of a new album, set for a 2014 debut. Her new song, the T.I.-assisted 'I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel),' showcases her powerhouse vocals. Later this month, she stars in 'Black Nativity,' in theaters Nov. 27.
