"American Idol" crowned another winner last night during the Season 12 finale, with Candice Glover taking home the title. She proved why the votes were in her favor as she performed alongside another "Idol" star, Jennifer Hudson. The ladies were both dressed in black but they shined bright as they showcased their stellar vocals for a rendition of Natalie Cole's "Inseparable."

"It's so wonderful to know you'll always be around me," Glover sang before Hudson surprised the audience by stepping onstage. "Ladies and gentlemen, the amazing Jennifer Hudson," Glover exclaimed when the soulful songstress belted out her lyrics.

At the end of the performance, Hudson looked shockingly pleased with Glover, holding her hand and pointing at the new "Idol" winner who was following in her footsteps. In addition to Hudson, Emeli Sande also graced the stage, treating the audience to her hit "Next to Me" with "Idol" contestant Amber Holcomb. Angie Miller joined Jessie J for "Domino" and Aretha Franklin performed via satellite with the top 5 ladies, singing a medley of her hits.
