Jeezy is looking like a bad father after reports surfaced that he allegedly pummeled his 17-year-old son Jadarius. The Atlanta native surrendered to authorities on Friday (Jan. 3) and was charged with battery, false imprisonment and terrorist threats. Jeezy's PR team has issued a statement regarding the arrest.

The statement reads in its entirety:

Jay Jenkins, better known as rapper Young Jeezy, was recently made aware of charges in Atlanta, GA. Contrary to reports, Mr. Jenkins presented himself to address these charges. We have no doubt this matter will resolve itself appropriately. At this moment, Mr. Jenkins is thankful for the support of his fans and the respect for his family’s privacy.

TMZ is reporting that Jeezy didn't beat his son or make terroristic threats. The 36-year-old rhymer claims his son's mother set him up, whom he allegedly describes as a "loathsome, greedy, gold-digging baby mama."

According to their sources, the September 2012 argument started when Jeezy told his son that he was a punk kid and he didn't want him staying at his house anymore. The two started screaming at each other but no physical altercation had occurred.

As for the terroristic threats, Jadarius claims his father yelled, "I will kill you... I will put a bullet in your head right now," while Jeezy alleges all he said was something along the lines of, "I brought you into this world and I can take you out of it."

Whatever happened, we hope that Jeezy and Jadarius resolve this matter and move on peacefully as a family.
