In addition to promoting his memoir, 'Decoded,' Jay-Z has announced that he will be participating in a star-studded promotional trip to Australia with Oprah Winfrey next month.

The talk-show mogul will be treating 300 of her fans to an all-expenses paid, 8-day trip to Oz, where they will be accompanied by Aussie actors Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, and now, Jay-Z, who will also be performing live on an 'Oprah' taping at the Sydney Opera House (expect an Oprah play-on-words) on Dec. 14.

Though Oprah has been a vocal critic of rap music and the perceived negative influence it has on its audience, she struck up a surprising friendship with Jay last year, after traveling to Marcy projects with him as part of a segment on her show .Since then, the two have built a strong relationship, with Jay recently referring to her as a personal friend, who inspired him to write his memoir. "Oprah was a big reason I wrote this book," he said. "We had conversations about language and the 'N word,' and while we didn't agree, we left that conversation with a better understanding."

Following Jay-Z's performance on 'Oprah,' he will continue touring the continent with fellow Live Nation artists U2, and putting the finishing touches on his collaboration album with Kanye West, entitled 'Watch the Throne.'
