Jay-Z Taps Kanye West, Beyonce for New Year’s Show
Leave it to Jay-Z to throw a New Year's Eve bash of epic proportions. The Brooklyn rhymer rang in 2011 at the grand opening of The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas by performing alongside wife Beyoncé and Kanye West.
Decked out in a black bow tie and matching black tuxedo, Hov co-headlined the hotel's opening celebration with Coldplay's Chris Martin. The 'Viva la Vida' singer joined Jay and 'Ye during their set of 'Homecoming,' the third single off the latter's third studio album, 'Graduation.' Performing the song was a first for West, Martin and Jay-Z as a trio.
Beyoncé shared the stage with the 'On To the Next One' performer during 'Forever Young,' singing the tune's chorus. Dressed in a sparkling body-hugging dress, the former Destiny Child's front woman also treated fans to a performance of 'Halo.'
