Jay Z is in hot water over his beloved Brooklyn Nets. The rapper has been hit with a huge lawsuit regarding the team's alleged trademark violations.

Radar Online reports that Jigga has been named as one of the defendants in a $600 million lawsuit filed by Dr. Francois de Cassagnol, who claims that he trademarked the name “Brooklyn Nets” before the NBA team.

The plaintiff claims that the NBA, Hov and developer Bruce Ratner ”fraudulently conspired” to use “loopholes” to get the name. According to de Cassagnol, he called dibs on the moniker over a decade ago.

De Cassagnol filed applications for “The Brooklyn Nets Entertainment Logo” in 2012, and before that in 2003, in Louisiana. He tried to fight for the name in Louisiana court but the powers that be did not side with him back then.

Last year, Jay Z sold his shares of the team but he still owns a percentage of Barclays Center, where the Nets play.
