Does Jay-Z have a cartoon in the works? That seems to be the case as the rapper-mogul performed at Adult Swim's exclusive Upfront Week event in New York City at the Roseland Ballroom last night (May 18).

Adweek reports that although there are minimal details, Hova is soon to announce a developmental deal with Adult Swim, which likely means a cartoon series. The nighttime and older skewing counterpart to the Cartoon Network, Adult Swim has been very hip-hop friendly over the years. Killer Mike lent his voice acting skills to 'Frisky Dingo,' Aaron McGruder's 'The Boondocks' is full of rap cameos and Odd Future has an animated series in the works with the network.

As for the Upfront Week event, Rap Radar has footage of Hov taking the stage to perform 'Thank You' from 'The Blueprint 3' over the instrumental of the opening theme from 'The Boondocks.' Jigga also performed 'Allure' and 'Dead Presidents' before bringing out Swizz Beatz for a rousing rendition of 'On to the Next One.'

Also worth noting is that Jay-Z sported a fresh haircut, which could mean his collaborative project with Kanye West, 'Watch the Throne,' is finally complete. The rapper is known to let his hair grow out while he's working on a project and cut it once finished.
