When Jay-Z was on Jonathan Ross' show a couple weeks ago, the British host asked him about being BFF with President Barack Obama. Hov responded that he knew Obama liked his music, but that he hadn't had the opportunity to visit the White House yet due to a heavy travel schedule. Well, all that changed on Wednesday when Jay-Z made his first visit to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue during a tour stop in Washington, D.C.

"I don't know where you are, but happy birthday," said Hov from the Verizon Center's stage. "I just came from the White House. And your pop works there. He said, 'Happy Birthday.'"

White House officials confirmed the visit this morning (March 4), but remained silent on specific details. Hov did apparently get the grand tour and, according to the Washington Post, had a quick, unscheduled visit with Obama. The Post also confirmed that the President did not attend Jay-Z's show, but we (of course) wish he did and we could get some shaky YouTube videos of his dance moves. Maybe next time.
