JayzBefore heading over to Washington D.C. on Wednesday night (May 19) to see wife, Beyonce, perform at the President Obama's White House State Dinner, Jay-Z sat down for an important breakfast meeting at Gracie Mansion in New York City.

Hov dined with Mayor Bloomberg, developer Bruce Ratner and new Nets majority owner Mikhail Prokhorov. The Russian billionaire, who solidified an 80 percent share in the Nets basketball team this past week, unveiled his plans to revamp the team's roster and bring them to Brooklyn. Prokhorov promised that with a little bit of funding and some hard work, the team could land a championship title within five years.

The mining tycoon explained that he had crossed paths with Jay-Z twice before and was "lucky" to be working with him. "Despite the fact that I am very far from rap music, we have a lot in common...I share his passion for Brooklyn," Prokhorov said. Prokhorov later took a tour of the Atlantic Yards project in Downtown Brooklyn, which will be transformed into the Nets' new home, the Barclays Center Arena.

Early in March, Jay-Z joined Bruce Ratner, Mayor Bloomberg and Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz to break ground at the Atlantic Yards development project.
