Jay-Z, Coldplay Headline Barclays Center for New Years Eve

Evan Agostini, Invision

After Jay-Z sold out eight straight shows at the newly opened Barclays Center in Brooklyn, including a magical collaboration with his superstar wife Beyonce on the closing night, it was hard to imagine what feat he would pull off next.

We didn’t have to wait long for HOV to announce that he’s planning a New Year’s Eve performance with British indie rock heavyweights Coldplay. The announcement came via a flyer posted on The Blueprint creator’s website Life + Times.
The performers have shared a stage in the past, including just recently teaming up with Rihanna too to close out the 2012 Paralympic Games in London. Back in 2010, Jay-Z and Chris Martin also collaborated to perform for a special New Years Eve show in Vegas.

Who knows what will happen when Jay-Z celebrates New Years Eve on his home turf in Brooklyn. This will be one show not to miss.
