Jay-Z and DJ HeroWhat do you do when you've conquered music, fashion and virtually everything else you've touched? Well, in the case of Jay-Z, you contemplate switching things up a bit and becoming a celebrity DJ.

The BoomBox sat down with Jay-Z on Monday afternoon at New York's Plaza Hotel and chatted about his involvement in the Activision video game 'DJ Hero: Renegade Edition.' After answering the obligatory questions about the system and the tracks he contributed to the game's soundtrack, Jay joked about taking 'DJ Hero' to the next level.

"I think after a year with 'DJ Hero' I'm gonna start DJing parties, like Q-Tip and all them guys. I'm gonna figure out who gets paid the most. I got a whole plan," he said, laughing. "I'm gonna work on this for a year, then I'm gonna get me a little Serato set, I'm gonna work on that for another six months then I'm gonna find out who makes the most as a DJ, I'm gonna charge double, I'm gonna tour."

"Bar mitzvahs, weddings ... I'm telling y'all, 'cause I don't want anybody stealing my idea," Jay continued, jokingly (we think). "I'm gonna have this video behind me, dancers. I'm gonna have people go out and like, pour champagne after I get to a certain song. So if you guys wanna book me, book me early, the prices will be a little better. 'Cause when I get good ... I'm really gonna go for it."

Developed in the vein of the popular 'Guitar Hero' franchise, 'DJ Hero: Renegade Edition' features turntable controllers and two discs of exclusive playable tracks from Jay and Eminem. The game is available now for Xbox, Wii and Playstation 3.
