So is the Roc officially over? According to Page Six, Jay Z is estranged from his Watch the Throne collaborator Kanye West.

This news comes after Yeezy went on a rant at his Seattle show last Wednesday (Oct. 19), stating that Hov didn’t reach out to him after his wife, Kim Kardashian, was robbed in Paris.

“Don’t call me after the robbery and say, ‘How you feelin’?’ You wanna know how I’m feelin’? Come by the house," he reportedly said. "Bring the kids by the house like we brothers...Our kids ain’t never even played together.”

West also blamed that the Tidal/Apple streaming wars for blocking him and Jay Z from appearing on Drake’s Views album.

But a source told Page Six, that Jay Z never thought of West as a true friend. "Jay can’t stand him,” said the insider. “He looks at him as this crazy, eccentric motherf---er he can tolerate in small doses. Kanye is a nut job. Everyone knows that.”

Really?

As for Jay's collaboration on the Watch the Throne project, the rap mogul only saw it as a money grab and nothing more. “There was so much money to be made," said the source. "Jay was like, ‘I’m gonna knock this out. We’re going to do a tour to bring in millions of dollars. I can tolerate that.'"

However, another source told Page Six that Jay and West are cool with each other. “It didn’t seem like Kanye was dissing Jay at all. They are brothers, closer than friends," said the insider. "Jay appreciates Kanye’s genius, understands his passions and eccentricities and is accepting of it all.”

But the first source says it's just a perception. "The reality is that Jay doesn’t want that much to do with him. He likes his own space and is private," said the source.

All of this sounds far-fetched to us. Jay Z has so much history with Kanye West we can't imagined him not ever wanting to be in contact with him. Hopefully, both men can sit down and repair their broken relationship.
