Jay-Z Buys ‘Holy Grail’ Artwork from Swizz Beatz

Swizz Beats is known for being a multi-platinum music producer but music isn't his only forte. Swizz is art colector and an artis in his own right. In fact one of his recent pieces was purchased by none other than Jay-Z.

The Roc Nation head purchased a Mercedes-Benz hood painted by the super producer embellished with the face of Jean-Michael Basquiat. A caption written over tape going across Basquiat's eyes reads "Holy Grail," a nod to Jay-Z's upcoming album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail.'

Swizz tweeted out pictures of him working on the artwork as well as he and Jay next to the piece Hov purchased.

"Look who purchased my Basquiat on Benz Hood 2day," Swizz captioned on Instagram. "what a honor and Blessing I'm so grateful for the support! July 4 its Showtime. ART LIFE!!! I will use proceeds to continue helping kids in need."

"Holy Grail" is just one of 50 car hoods Swizz plans on creating for an art exhibit. Other hoods relayed through social media include photos of Bob Marley and Muhammad Ali. The Ali hood apparently sold for $24,000 at auction.
