Jay-Z has announced plans to embark on a 21-city/university arena tour in support of his new album 'The Blueprint 3,' which was released on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

The tour begins at Penn State University on Oct. 9, heads over to Cincinnati on Oct. 10, then shoots up to Canada, where Jay will perform in several cities, including Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, before returning to the U.S. for more university dates. The tour wraps up at University of Texas at Austin on Nov. 22.

Jay's fan club members are currently able to purchase pre-sale tickets for select cities, while tickets are available to the public on Friday, Sept. 11, the same day Jay was planning to release 'BP3.'

Sept. 11 has personal significance to Jay, besides the memory of our national tragedy, as it was the day that the first installment of 'The Blueprint' series was released, 8 years ago. In honor of the many men and women who lost their lives on that tragic day, Jay will also be headlining a charity concert at Madison Square Garden, raising funds for the New York Police & Fire Widows and Children's Benefit Fund.
