Despite having no album or a song on the radio, Jay Electronica commanded the stage at the 2014 Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival on Saturday (July 12).

Backed by the Fruit of Islam security team, Jay Elect (or Jay Farrakhan as he is now affectionately called on the Internet) showcased lyrics at the 10th annual event. During his hour-long set, the Roc Nation rapper brought out a slew of surprised guests including Mac Miller, J. Cole, Talib Kweli and the Roc boss Jay Z.

Together, the dynamic duo perform 'Shiny Suit Theory,' 'Young, Gifted & Black' and their classic freestyle over Drake's 'We Made It.' At the end of the set, Hov draped Jay Elect with his gold Five Percenter chain that caused some outrage a few months back.

Not to be outdone, co-headliner Raekwon followed Jay Electronica with an exciting set as well. The Wu-Tang Clan MC brought out AZ for a rendition of 'Life's a Bitch,' as well as Papoose, Troy Ave and Bobby Shmurda.

Overall, it was a good night for Brooklyn and hip-hop.
