Where is Jay Electronica? As we continue to wait for his album, it seems that the elusive rapper has been traveling the world. He appears in a trailer for 'Into the Light,' a new documentary centered on his life and spiritual journey across the globe.

The documentary, presented by Mass Appeal, is experiment for director Jason Goldwatch, explains. "It is experimental in form and best described as a meditation in un-learning," he states in a press release. "A movement in seeing without watching, hearing without listening, and the brave exploration of spirit."

Jay and his crew travel through new countries from slums to temples. In one scene, the MC lands a helicopter in the Himalayas and then delivers rice and clean water to refugees.

The narrator gives some insight on Jay Electronica's story before the trailer comes to an end. "An inventor to the end, all he ever wanted was to uplift the condition of humanity. He was so sure of his breakthrough that he felt compelled to share it. He sailed for New York City, the seat of the modern world, Transforming himself from a penniless immigrant to a legend of his time. The glitterati of New York's finest would flock to his laboratory to witness this spectacular high-voltage demonstrations. How could history overlook such an incredible legacy? It's time to bring his story out of the shadows and into the light."

'Into the Light' will be released in 2015 by Mass Appeal.
