If you felt a New York hip-hop renaissance might be on the way the first time you heard Jay Electronica's 'Exhibit C,' you wouldn't be alone. Last night, you got your proof. Mikey Fresh, the always on point blogger for Miss Info and The BoomBox among other outlets, taped and uploaded a highly-amped performance of the Just Blaze-produced track live from Manhattan's Highline Ballroom. Why was it so special? Well, this version features none other than Diddy, Mos Def and Talib Kweli.

The clip opens with DJ sirens and crowd pandemonium as Diddy takes the stage and is crowned with Elec's trademark fez. The original track features an excellent reference to Diddy's famous "As we proceed, to give you what you need..." from Notorious B.I.G.'s 'Who Shot Ya?' (aka one of the best songs ever), and Combs reprises that famous hype man roll to work the crowd into a tizzy. He then breaks out some classic shimmy dance moves, ends up sitting for a bit and comes back strong to close the song out.

The performance came at the tail end of a headlining set by the ever-suave Mos Def. Check out the full video of the performance. It feels good to be New York again.
