Janet Jackson taps J. Cole to wake up her latest single, “No Sleeep.” The remix features the Roc Nation rhymer providing some ad-libs and a charming verse.

Over the original slow-grinding beat, Ms. Jackson coos about a 48-hour love marathon with her devoted boo. "You better get ready my king / 'Cause I'm going to be the queen of insomnia," she sings.

Then the R&B icon name-drops “Cole World” and the North Cackalacky rapper delivers lyrics about their complicated love affair and suggests that maybe they should just be “friends with benefits."

"Our time together has inspired a song or two or three / Or four, or more, mi amor, I’m sure / Either you’re the one or I’m caught in the matrix / Staying up for hours while we talk and get wasted / Not from weed smoke or this cheap wine / Drunk off love we both feel deep down," he raps.

According to Billboard, Janet and J. Cole recorded the remix in Los Angeles about two weeks ago. The remix will appear on the "Control" singer's first album in over seven years, which is still untitled. The collection is due to hit stores in September via Rhythm Nation Records/BMG.

In the meantime, a video has reportedly been shot for the song by director Dave Meyers, who has filmed previous visuals for her including "All for You" and "I Want You."

Don't sleep on Janet's upcoming Unbreakable World Tour. The 49-year-old singer just released dates for the second leg of her U.S. trek, which begins next year.
