Jamiroquai fans stand up.

After seven long years, Jay Kay and crew are back with their new album Automation, a 12-song release that picks up right where they left off.

From the very beginning of the LP, you're pulled right back into that classic Jamiroquai sound, which is funk, disco and lyrics that deal with social issues. Kay's vocals are just as strong as ever too, and he wrote and produced all of the songs along with keyboardist Matt Johnson.

In a press release, the dancing frontman said the album is about re-connecting to a much simpler time, before technology seemed to take over.

"The inspiration for Automation is in recognition of the rise of artificial intelligence and technology in our world today," said Kay. "We as humans are beginning to forget the more pleasant, simple and eloquent things in life and in our environment, including our relationship with one another as human beings."
