The much-anticipated biopic on the life of Tupac Shakur, All Eyez On Me, hit theaters today to lukewarm reviews from critics. In fact, the film, which aims to shed light on the life and music of one of hip-hop's most beloved, iconic figures, is only averaging a 26 percent rating on the review site, Rotten Tomatoes.

Now, Jada Pinkett Smith, who was an extremely close friend of Pac, has spoken about the film on Twitter, voicing her displeasure with what she says is an inaccurate depiction of their friendship and the time they spent together. She calls the re-imagining of their relationship "deeply hurtful."

"Forgive me... my relationship to Pac is too precious to me for the scenes in All Eyez On Me to stand as truth," she began, before listing several scenes she says are inaccurate.

One popular scene Smith called into question was when Pac (played by Demetrius Shipp, Jr.) read her (played by Katt Graham) a letter before heading off to L.A. Smith says that scene is completely false.

"Pac never read me that poem. I didn't know that poem existed until it was printed in his book," she wrote, adding that Pac didn't tell her that he was leaving to L.A. at all, but instead was forced to leave abruptly. She added that his departure had nothing to do with music.

Smith also said that she's never attended any of Pac's shows, at his request, so there was no argument backstage. Although she voiced her criticisms of the film, she offered her respect to both Shipp and Graham for their portrayals of Pac and herself.

"This is no fault of yours," she wrote. "Thank you for bringing so much heart and spirit to your roles."

She capped her response by wishing Pac, who would've been 46 today, a happy birthday.
