Jackie Long Is Recording a Hip-Hop Project, Calls Snoop His ‘Motivation’

Actor Jackie Long is taking his talents to the music side of the entertainment industry--and he's got his best friend Ray J backing him up.

Long promoted what could be his first single via his Instagram page. "Alert!!!!! ##alert new s--t coming soon !!!!," he captioned. "With my boy @rayj #tronmusic #ActorGang"

We caught up with the ATL native in Hollywood to talk about his upcoming projects and he talked about how Snoop Dogg has inspired him in any way musically.

"He motivates me work-wise because if anyone can smoke as much weed as Snoop, and work as much as he do, that's motivation to me to just work my ass off," Long said with a chuckle.

"I'm recording now in the studio, recording, and thats about it," he said in regards to his music. "I'm not sure what I'm going to call it, either call it A Long Story Short or A Long Story To Tell. I don't really know for sure yet. It's going to be about me in this industry, me in this business, me and how I live my life, my family, my friends, just being a real person."

But Long hasn't left the big screen completely. He's been booking acting jobs left and right. He plugged his current and upcoming movies and shows as well.

"I got Real Husbands of Hollywood every Tuesday at 9pm, I got the New Edition [mini-series] coming out in January, and I just finished doing a movie called Body, its a rap battle movie that'll be going to Sundance and all the film festivals."

"Oh, and Ringside. Ya'll probably missed that," he continued. "That's the boxing movie that just came out. I was up in there looking real sexy."
