Ja Rule's first track since being released from house arrest this past August has finally arrived in the fittingly titled 'Fresh Out Da Pen.'

The tough single arrives nearly a month and a half after his previous appearance, which found the Queens native rapping on N.O.R.E.'s 'She Tried' remix with Lil Wayne and Birdman. Ja's going it alone on 'Fresh Out Da Pen,' though, and it sounds like a mission statement for the one-time rap superstar.

Backed by an aggressive instrumental, Ja spits with an unwavering tenacity and makes references to two tracks off Jay Z's 'Magna Carta... Holy Grail' ('Tom Ford' and 'FuckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt'), Miley Cyrus' love for twerking, Rihanna, and other topics du jour. But it's the following phrase that hits hardest, because maybe this means that the rapper-turned-singer-turned-rapper-again is actually back: "As long as I'm alive, who gon' stop me?"
