J. Cole recently wrapped production on the video for 'Who Dat' -- the first official single from his upcoming Roc Nation debut -- but the North Carolina native says that he's already worked with directors BBGun on several past videos.

"I have a little bit of experience because way before I got signed I worked with these kids named BBGun and they were crazy. We was just shooting videos with no budget but the videos came out incredible," Cole told The BoomBox. "So I do have some experience-obviously I'm not a director but I have experience -- all we do is sit around and talk about [video] concepts and just sift through them."

Cole wouldn't reveal too much about the concept behind 'Who Dat,' but he explained that it would bear slight similarities to the video 'Simba,' from his mixtape 'The Come Up.' "I'm trying to get it shot back home in Fayetteville and I don't wanna tell the concept but it's gonna be good," he said. "I don't wanna give nothing away. I hate giving stuff away, but it's reminiscent of the 'Simba' video that I did, if anybody's familiar with that. But just like next level 'Simba' video if we pull it off right."

The official video for 'Who Dat' will debut on Monday (June 21), but you can check out the trailer after the jump.
