J. Cole is bringing to his HBO special to a television screen near you. The "Crooked Smile" rapper recently gave fans a sneak peak of his concert special, Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming.

The trailer features Hollywood Cole taking his fans on an emotional journey of him returning to his North Carolina hometown during his 2014 Forest Hills Drive tour in September.

The 30-second clip also features shots from Cole's hometown as the rhymer speaks about what he wants for his city. "My dream for Fayetteville is that people here can wake up and realize anything you want is possible if you want it," he said. The video continues to reveal the energetic and dynamic show with the "Apparently" rapper. Also, Drake and Cole's Roc Nation boss, Jay Z, make cameo appearances.

The 90-minute special is set to air on Jan. 9 at 10PM ET but in the meantime fans will have plenty more to look forward to.

After tweeting the phone number, 1-888-888-DREAM, on Sunday (Dec. 6), the Dreamville leader announced that the sequel to his 2014 tape, Revenge of the Dreamers, is slated to be released on Friday (Dec. 11.) The nine-track EP is already available to pre-order on iTunes.

Meanwhile, Cole's 2014 Forest Hills Drive was nominated for Best Rap Album for the 2016 Grammy Awards. His introspective song "Apparently" also grabbed a mentioned for Best Rap Performance.
