Iggy Azalea Opens Up About Her Breast Implants
When an artist is in the spotlight 24 hours a day, seven days a week, sometimes all of the public scrutiny can take its toll on their self-esteem. Iggy Azalea may be a four-time Grammy Award-nominated rapper but she's just as human as the rest of us.
In an interview with Vogue for the April Shape Issue, the Aussie rhymer reveals she was unhappy with some of her physical assets so she decided to do something about it. “I did change something: Four months ago, I got bigger boobs! I’d thought about it my entire life,” she said when asked if she ever had plastic surgery or enhancing procedures done. Iggy chose to enlarge her breasts after years of adding padding to her performance costumes and clothing.
According to the "Fancy" creator, she has had issues dealing with people accepting and appreciating her curvaceous figure. The 5-foot, 10-inch former Wilhelmina Model recalls when she first arrived stateside from Australia that people influenced her to model but said once agencies “measured my body, they didn’t like me anymore.”
Bigger bosoms aside, Iggy still gets her clothes customized to fit her body type. “I have to have everything tailored because I have such a small waist. I’m a 2 or a 0 on the top, and a 6 on the bottom,” she explains.
Azaleans can check out Iggy and her new breasts when she kicks off her Great Escape North American tour in September.
