It’s been more than five years since Ice Cube last released an album — 2005’s I Am the West — but now the west coast rapper is getting ready for the re-release of his 1991 classic, Death Certificatewhich drops this Friday with three all new songs added.

After releasing the first single “Only One Me” on June 2, Cube has followed it up with “Good Cop Bad Cop.”

Getting back to his classic N.W.A days, Cube starts the track off by rapping, “Good cop, good cop rolling with that bad cop / What you doin’ boy, turn in that blood clot,” interpolating lyrics from N.W.A’s “F--- Tha Police. “Good cop, good cop, filling out your report / Bad cop, asking you to distort / Bad cop asking you to lie in court / Send another young brother up north / Send another young sister off course / While these motherf---ers chill on a golf course,” he raps.

Ice Cube’s latest single comes at the perfect time as the rapper-actor is set to appear on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher this Friday.

“Ice Cube will still appear on Bill Maher this Friday as scheduled to talk about the release of ‘Death Certificate: 25th Anniversary’ edition, an album that was recorded in the wake of the Rodney King beating in 1991, which sadly, speaks to many of the same race issues that we as a society are still dealing with today,” a spokesperson for Ice Cube to the Huffington Post.
