Ice Cube Says He Won’t Stop Performing ‘F— Tha Police’ [VIDEO]

Ice Cube isn’t feeling any pressure to change his performance set, which includes his classic N.W.A. track "F--- tha Police." The song was controversial back in 1988--and it's unfortunately still relevant almost 30 years later. With all the controversy surrounding the police lately, some may think the hip-hop elder would want to tone things down.

TMZ caught up with Cube in the airport and asked if anyone's been pressuring him about not performing the song.

“Pressure me? Pressure me to do what?” Cube said. “Nobody said nothing to me. I ain’t gonna change nothing I do, cause I ain’t doin’ nothing wrong.”

Last year's hit film Straight Outta Compton revitalized Cube's legendary former group and Cube has been working N.W.A. material into his show. Cube headlined Coachella earlier this year, and is now set to perform at the HARD Summer Music Festival at Southern California’s Auto Club Speedway later this month (July 30-31.) N.W.A. was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.

Cube doesn't seem to be concerned with switching up the song selection. However, since the shooting in Dallas that left five officers dead, while one in Baton Rogue killed another three, the song lyrics to "F--- Tha Police" might be considered condoning more violence.

"Smoke any motherfu**er that sweats me, or any a--hole that threatens me. I'm a sniper with a hell of a scope. Taking out a cop or two, they can't cope with me."

Only time will tell if the California native decides to change his mind. But the song is a classic and a large part of the group's own history, so while we don't condone violence, we're still here for the performance. Are you? Leave us a comment below.
