"I felt ferocious," says Ice Cube about returning to the rap game after a six year hiatus. "I couldn't wait to get back into hip-hop and work with Lil Jon."

Speaking at rehearsals for the BET Awards, Cube said the long wait for his new album, 'Laugh Now, Cry Later,' released earlier this month, was due to movie obligations. He swears he never had any thoughts about bailing on his first love.

"I'm a b-boy at heart," he said. "I've always wanted to be part of the culture. You're going to have to drag me from the game."
