Shock jock Howard Stern caused a 7-year-old rapper to cry while competing on the talent competition show "America's Got Talent" Monday (May 21), after he hit the X-button to eliminate the Philadelphia youngster.

Rising rhyming Mir Money took the stage to perform his track for the judges, however, the pint-sized artist didn't get very far when Stern hit the dreaded X. "You're a very nice young man and you know that," Howard Stern told Mir Money. "No one likes hitting the X on a 7-year-old. You're very brave to get up there at 7 years old."

Subsequently, Mir Money started to cry, rubbing his eyes as the crowd began booing. Stern then walked onstage to console the eliminated contestant.

"I don't want to make you cry," he stated. "I've met many of great rappers ... none of them are quite as great as you."

After host Nick Cannon escorted Mir Money offstage, Stern made a surprising statement. "I can't do it," he admitted regarding his role as a judge on the show. "Radio is for me. I made a mistake. This is not for me."

"America's Got Talent" airs Mondays at 8PM ET and Tuesdays at 9PM ET on NBC.
